Terra Sancta

The next act is in the form of a dream sequence, taking elements of the preachers homily and combining it with visionary experiences suggesting the spiritual quest of the protagonist that parralels the earthly journeying. Eventually the artist awakens and we see him travelling by to his college where he is seen painting against in unstaged genuine footage including the voices of students and others in the room in general conversation.

This leads seamlessy into another figurative piece based around the concept of the road less travelled. A standalone section where the symbolic journey is interspersed with retrospective family photographs and might have beens

The third act is entitled:

Terra Perdita
(the lost land)

Beginning with another awakening, it is summer this time and the protagonist sits shirtless in his living room whilst a helicopter hovers outside.

In fact it is the anniversary of the protagonists mothers death and he is in reflective mood, reflecting on the footage he took last year at the same time when everything seemed worthless. This year he looks at his achievements at college but wonders where it will lead.

The artist picks up his flute and we see a transformation of photographs of the artist playing his flute going back to the 1970's when he was at the University of Warwick, the lost land of the past.

There is a series of retrospective pictures against the artist own music leading into another bus and train journey back to the symbolic journey .
